AYSO R213 - Academies (NIYA, GKA)

Region 213 Player Development Opportunities

Youth Academy, Goalkeeper Academy, Playtime Adventure

Youth Academy and Goalkeeper Academy are signed up through eAYSO. Instructions are the same two-step process as player registration, and are available at www.aysosoccer.org/registration.

The good news is most players already completed step 1 as part of registration, and can skip right to step 2 - signup for program.

Youth Academy

Program

For more details or information view the FLYER

The Region 213 Youth Academy is an AYSO approved FLEX Extra Concurrent Program. It is a pilot program for Under-8 (U8) through Under-14 (U14) boys and girls players who:

  • Are participating in the Fall Season of the primary program
  • Possess the appropriate skills, commitment and abilities
  • Are participating in the U8, U10, U12 or U14 divisions of the primary (or "recreational") program

The Youth Academy is completely separate of the Primary Program. It will not interfere with primary program practices or games since it is conducted exclusively on Friday. Each Friday, the players lucky enough to be a part of the Youth Academy get one hour of training overseen by professional coaches from AYSO Soccer Camps. This one hour of training will be a progressive, 9-week program designed to prepare players for more competitive play such as All-Stars or the Extra teams. The training is then followed by a small-sided game between teams. The fee is $125 for the Fall Season and includes a new and different uniform, the paid coaches and all other Youth Academy Program fees.

If you have any questions, then please contact Glenn Samford, Regional Coach Administrator. rca@aysosoccer.org .

Parents,
Please log into eayso.org, print a copy of your child's registration form and bring it with you to the training along with a check for $100. We need to verify your child is registered as a primary program player for the current Fall season and have their medical and release information on hand in case of injury during the tryouts. Plan on arriving at least 15 minutes early to sign-in and to allow your child to warm-up prior to the start of the training.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!! Please read the following

Please evaluate table above. On day 1, please have your child report to either the New Keeper or Intermediatesessions only. Upon evaluation by the UK Coach in that session he will place your child in the appropriate session. For example, If your child is a new keeper but shows the ability to handle the intermediate training then he/she will suggest to you to come to later session. The same applies if the coach doesn’t feel your child can handle the pressures of a certain level and fear of injury he/she will ask you to come to the more appropriate training session.

The advanced session is by invitation only. High level of training with strong potential of injury if Keeper is not prepared. Age, physical and mental capabilities are factors in this decision process. If your player is capable of the advanced training he/she will be approached by the UK Coach.

Times are subject to change based on enrollment. Please check the website weekly prior to coming on Friday for any possible changes. Fields will remain the same, Times may change if enrollment in a particular division gets too high.
