Church/Community Representative Time: 2-4 hours per year Scope: Your church or community Task: When the region wants to reach out to the community / families, work with school to get information out to families, usually by way of newsletter, bulletin, or even a wall board. Will mostly be needed to remind families about registration events. Field Captain Time: 5 to 10 minutes per week Scope: Soccer field close to your home Task: On game days (Saturdays), go out to field before first game. Stick a corner flag at each corner of the soccer field. Stick a Kids Zone yard sign near field. After last game, take corner flags and yard sign home. Flags and sign provided, and can be kept at your home. Referee Time: 1.5-3 hours per week (at your discretion after 8 hours of training) Scope: Soccer field of your choosing Task: Sign up to referee or be an assistant referee at one (or more) of the weekly soccer games in the Region during the Fall and Spring seasons. After your initial training, you are provided a uniform and are able to assign yourself to your own schedule. You and your fellow referee crew are responsible for keeping our games safe, fair and fun. This is an excellent way to learn more about the game and at the same time provide the officiating that every game needs.
